What You Need to Know About Registering For NYS Sheep & Wool Festival Workshops

Welcome to the NYS Sheep & Wool Workshop Information & Instructions. Please read ALL information before registering.

IMPORTANT

  • DO NOT BUY FESTIVAL TICKETS. Workshops include one weekend e-ticket (emailed about 2 weeks before the Festival).
  • Workshop registrations are first come, first serve.
  • Wendy Jensen workshops are a quick sell.  Register for either day, but not both.
  • Workshops are held in non-traditional environments including tents.  All spaces can be loud, hot, and/or cold
  • Workshops may involve long periods of standing, sitting, or having your hands in and out of water.
  • If you require special accommodations, please contact the instructor and Workshop Manager prior to registering.
  • Workshops may require a separate material fee. This is paid directly to the instructor. Review payment instructions in the workshop details (NOTE - There are no ATMs available on Thursday or Friday).
  • Review the proficiency level of each workshop before registering. If you are unsure of difficulty, contact the instructor before registering.
  • Photos are representative of the class project.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older to register. Minors may be considered, but approval from the instructor and Workshop Manager must be given prior to registration.
  • Coordinate transportation to the festival grounds before registration. Local transportation options are limited.
  • Thursday/Friday workshops usually begin at 9:00 am or 1:00 pm, Saturday/Sunday workshops usually begin at 10:00 am or 2:00 pm, but there can be exceptions.  Make sure you calendar the details of your workshops as soon as you register!
  • A one hour lunch break is typically factored into 5 and 6 hour workshops, but check with your instructor.
  • Review the Change, Transfer, and Cancellation Policy before registering for workshops.
  • Workshop details and information are subject to change without notice. 

Registration

  • Registration has been simplified to parallel a traditional online shopping experience.
  • To speed up the registration process, we recommend creating an account or logging in prior to adding workshops to your cart.
  • You can add multiple registrations to your cart prior to checkout.
  • After adding a workshop to your cart, do not refresh your browser.
  • A notification will display in cart and at checkout for overlapping registrations.
  • Registrations and access to the Festival Dashboard are assigned to the account holder at checkout by default.
  • If you are buying for another person, check "I am purchasing for someone else" at checkout and enter their name and email address. An email notification will be sent for them to create an account.
  • Registrations cannot be combined. If registering for multiple people, you must submit separate transactions.
  • Please verify all information and registration(s) before checkout.
  • Changes after checkout will be subject to a $25 processing fee.
  • NOTE - our new system will detect timing conflicts and flash a message, but will not prevent you from double booking.  The Festival will not be responsible for any conflicts and the Change, Transfer, and Cancellation Policy will apply to any errors.

15-Minute Registration Hold

  • You have 15-minutes to complete checkout after adding a workshop to your cart.
  • A timer is displayed in the cart and at checkout to serve as a reminder.
  • After 15-minutes the workshop will be removed from your cart and made available for others to register.

Sold Out/Waitlist

  • If a workshop is sold out, you can choose to add yourself to the waitlist. If additional seats become available, everyone on the waitlist will receive an email notification and will be first come, first serve.

  • The Festival Dashboard serves as the hub for all information regarding workshop registrations.
  • After checkout, you may review your registrations within the dashboard.
  • Festival notices and updates will also be made available in the dashboard.
  • The dashboard also provides access to the billing portal where you can review purchases, download receipts, and update billing information.
  • If you are a vendor or instructor, you will also see this information in your dashboard.
