REGISTRATION CLOSED - Waitlist Only

NEW YORK SHEEP AND WOOL FESTIVAL

Black and White Sheep Show

October 15-16, 2022

SPONSORED by THE DUTCHESS COUNTY SHEEP AND WOOL GROWERS ASSOCIATION
Judge: Ed Julian

Dear Exhibitor,

We plan to go live September 5-17 for online registration, closing sooner if pens are filled. If for any reason this does not happen, please just watch for it to go live--there is no need to contact us. We will accept entries until all pens are taken. At that point we will keep a waitlist so please notify us if you have pens reserved but find you are unable to attend so that we may notify a person on the waitlist.

  • Penning Charts will be posted in each barn. A reasonable number of pens will be assigned depending on the number of sheep entered. Please do not assume you will necessarily receive the number of pens you requested when entering.
  • Health papers must be dated within 90 days of the NYSWF. All animals will be inspected upon penning by UDSA personnel as soon as your animals are checked in. Be sure to take care of this as soon as possible.
  • We will let you know the first week of October if someone will be selling straw and hay on the grounds.
  • Sheep may arrive on the grounds from noon on Thursday, October 13th through 8 am Saturday, October 15th.
  • Only sheep entered in the show or breed display may be penned on the grounds.
  • Animals will be released AFTER the exhibitors meeting on Sunday with those living furthest away leaving first. The order will be determined at the meeting. Please see Chuck if you are planning on leaving right after the meeting.

PLEASE CONTACT US AT hsimmons@bard.edu WITH ANY CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS (not substitutions which may be made within the same class as entered). It may allow someone who is on the waitlist an opportunity to participate in the show.

Please arrive through the livestock gate on the north side of the fairgrounds.
