Chevron stripes with extra pizzazz and knit from the center out adding zigszags as you go. The shawl is worked mostly in garter stitch but with a patterned color change so it looks good on both sides.
Techniques include standard increases and decreases and bind off, crochet chain cast on and picking up stitches to create the extra zig-zags down the center.
The Silverdale Shawl measures 51” across the top and 41” along each diagonal side but could be made bigger or smaller.
Skill Level Required: Suitable for confident intermediate knitters. Pattern reading. Useful if you have learned any of the following (but not essential as we will go over them in class):
The pattern uses standard increase, decrease and bind off methods.
