In this Natural Dyeing with Indigo workshop, Nica Rabinowitz of Fiberhouse Collective, will share the ancient process of dyeing with indigo, a blue pigment derived from a plant. Participants will learn how to set up a henna indigo vat and explore shibori resist dyeing techniques. Participants may bring their own fabric/fiber to dip as well, although small samples of silk and wool will be provided.
Prerequisites: Beginner - all levels welcome.
Note: This workshop will be held in a heated tent. Your hands may be in and out of water.

There is a $30 material fee included in the price of registration. It includes: indigo, henna, lime, yarn, silk, gloves, rubberbands, and a Bleeding Blue workbook.
Students should bring gloves and clothes they don't mind getting dirty/dyed.
