In this intermediate class, the student will learn Baltic threading on the loom, and the pickup technique involved to create complex patterns and designs on a narrow band. All materials and equipment will be provided. Loaner inkle looms will be available for use in class. Inkle weaving creates a warp-faced narrow band that can be used as belts, trim on garments, and handles for bags and clutches.
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: Beginner with some experience
PREREQUISITE: Basic inkle weaving skills and ability to read/draft inkle patterns helpful.

MATERIAL FEE: A material fee of $10 (cash, please) will be collected by the instructor. It includes: Covers all materials, use of equipment and handout.
STUDENTS MUST BRING: Students may want to bring paper and pencil to take notes. All other supplies will be provided. Loaner looms will be available, but student may bring their own loom if they have one.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
NOTE: There is no onsite ATM on Thursday and Friday.
