This class is for the spinner who wants to become more confident - whether you’re a new spinner or just haven’t spun for a while and need a refresher. The focus will be on the basics: drafting, adjusting your wheel, how to handle and spin different preparations, plying and finishing your yarns.
Prerequisite: Should be able to spin a yarn onto the bobbin.

A material fee of $25 will be collected by the instructor via Venmo or cash. It includes a folder, handouts, 4+ ounces of prepared wool and wool blend fibers (roving/top) including BFL, Romney, Cheviot, Merino/silk blend, etc..
Students must bring: Spinning wheel in good working condition, 3 bobbins, lazy Kate (if you have one), niddy noddy, and pen for notes.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
NOTE: There is no onsite ATM on Thursday and Friday.
