Instructor: | Maureen Rugar |
Learn to braid a small table mat or chair seat in this workshop using wool fabric. We will cover how to finish off your braid with two different applications: making a "rattail" end and butting the ends.
Braiding makes a great area rug, or even a wonderful finish to a hooked rug.
Prerequisite: As long as you can thread a needle make a backstitch and know left and right- you can do this!
Skill Level Required: All levels welcome
Homework: None

A material fee of $45 (cash or check, please) will be collected by the instructor. It includes wool fabric strips to make the 12" table mat, braiding cones, lacing thread and lacing needle, along with needle and thread to join the wool strips, and detailed workbook.
Students must bring: a pair of sharp scissors will be all that you need- nothing huge- just some mending or craft size will do.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
