Handcards are not just for rolags! Use your handcards to create batts, gradients, roving, and tweed.

In this workshop you will card and spin color and fiber blends using wools, silk, angora, mohair and alpaca. Samples will be put in a notebook along with the "technique recipe" so that you can recreate them at any time using your hand cards (or other blending tools like blending boards or drum carders). A great way to jumpstart your creative fiber blending!

Skill Level Required: Intermediate - Must be able to spin a continuous yarn without assistance . No carding experience needed.

There is a material fee of $20 which is included in the registration fee.  

It includes:  4+ ounces of wool roving and top as well as silk, angora, mohair and alpaca, notebook, and handouts.

Students must bring:  Spinning wheel in good working order, niddy noddy, pen for notes, pair of hand cards. Instructor will have a limited number of hand cards available for use during class.

We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
