Brighten up your fall season with this group of colorfully felted gourds. You will learn how to shape them with Feltie Forms, core fiber and a bit of cutting. You will then needle felt all three with an array of autumn-colored fibers. Yarns and additional roving will be used to create stripes and stems. Examples of completed works using Feltie Forms will be available to view for ideas for future projects. Whether you are new to felting or experienced, this workshop will give you an introduction to another way to get creative with needle felting.
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: Beginner with some experience
PREREQUISITE: Participants should know how to use a felting needle and be able to handle wool fibers.

MATERIAL FEE: A material fee of $25 (cash, please) will be collected by the instructor. It includes: 3 Mini Feltie Forms, Core Fiber (enough for project), 3 Felting Needles, Wool Roving (enough for project), Scrap Fiber or Yarn in Fall Colors (Boucle’, Mohair, Art Yarn), Bamboo Skewer, and instructions.
STUDENTS MUST BRING: Good sharp scissors; if possible. If participants have Clover's 3 needle and 5 needle tools; they can bring them to use.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
NOTE: There is no onsite ATM on Thursday and Friday.
