Workshop Info

Always wanted to try basketmaking? Come have some fun working on this project! This multi-purpose basket measures approximately 10" L x 4.5" H x 5" W not including the handles.

Students will learn how to do a filled base, weave up the sides incorporating two different sizes of reed and dyed overlays. Instruction will be provided as to how to attach the leather handles and rim/lash their basket.

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED:  Absolute Beginner

THIS WORKSHOP IS HELD IN A HEATED TENT.  Your hands may be in and out of water throughout the session.

MATERIAL FEE:  A material fee of $30 (cash or check, please) will be collected by the instructor.  It includes:  all material and use of tools to complete project.

STUDENTS MUST BRING:  N/A

We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
