Give your knits the gift of great finishing. In this class, you will learn how to mattress stitch side, sleeve and armhole seams, pick up stitches for neck bands, and weave in ends.
You won’t be able to finish sewing up the entire sweater in class, but we will complete one of each type of seam and pick up the sts for the neck band. Your garments will have a professional look with these skills. We will learn on a teddy bear sweater so you will have something to show for your efforts.
Skill Level Required: Beginning-Intermediate knitters. Must be familiar with basic knitting – casting on, binding off, following a pattern, increasing and decreasing. Must be able to knit a sweater from a provided pattern.
Homework: Four pieces of a completed bear sweater. Pattern will be provided upon registration.
