Students will select a yarn colorway, either from their stash or a purchase at the festival, which will serve as inspiration for their palette for the creation of watercolor paintings from picture references of fiber and related items. Luis will provide instruction on color matching and mixing, blocking in the picture, development and correction to a fully realized painting. Color hue and value will be discussed.
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: All skill levels are welcome, and students will receive individual instruction and support through the process.
PREREQUISITE: N/A
HOMEWORK: Students can bring photos of colorway on phone/tablet if they'd like.

MATERIAL FEE: A material fee of $10 will be collected by the instructor via cash or check. It includes: plastic palette, paint, water reservoir, paper towel
STUDENTS MUST BRING: watercolor paper, yarn inspiration, 3 watercolor brushes - materials list will be provided 3-4 weeks before workshop.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
