You will be introduced to the craft of Ply-Split Braiding. You will use a tool called a Gripfid (provided in your kit) and learn the sequence of splitting the 4 ply cords (provided in your kit) to create a pattern. The kit will include Instructions with color photos and diagrams, Gripfid, cords to make a bracelet in class with Waves/Chevron design and another set of cords for a second bracelet for you to plan and possibly start.
Peter Collingwood researched this art of the Camel herders in India, and brought it to the textile world. This will be a very fun class which can be a little challenging, but we will take it step by step and you will enjoy wearing your bracelet for the rest of the Fair!
