Mini Electric spinning wheels are all the rage and their affordable price makes them in reach of all spinners, but they have a reputation for being a bit one note in the production department. This class will focus on using a mini-electric to spin some fun and funky art yarns and debunk that myth. With some minor modifications and a little patience, the mini-electric can produce micro art yarns that will delight you! The class will start with a brief explanation of the anatomy of a mini-electric and how to make it function as a mini art yarn machine. We will work with locks, textures and plying techniques to create inspiring yarns. Mini-electric wheels for class use will be provided by the instructor.
