This will be your go-to basket whether you're heading to spinning, knitting, weaving or the library! Students will lay up a "filled" base and then work "start and stop" weaving rows while working on shaping straight sides. Rim fitting, handles, scarfing and double lashing will be taught. Basket dimensions: 13"L x 5" W x 10"H
Prerequisites: All levels welcome.
Note: This workshop will be held in a heated tent. Your hands may be in and out of water.

There is a $45 material fee included in the price of registration. It includes: All materials needed to finish the basket as well as use of all tools needed to accomplish this. Each student will also receive a written pattern for the basket. Basket materials include: rattan, seagrass and cotton Shaker tape.
Students should bring: Paper and pen or pencil if they wish to take notes.
