Natural Dyeing 101. This workshop will cover all the basics of natural dyeing, including fiber prep, mordanting, wild foraging, dye prep and finishing. A little of everything! We will dye 15 colors, every shade of the rainbow using fresh plant material, dried plants and flowers, nuts, bark, sawdust...you name it! Students will leave with a full set of mini skeins, enough for a small project.
Prerequisites: All levels welcome.
Note: This workshop will be held in a heated tent. Your hands may be in and out of water.

There is a $50 material fee included in the price of registration. It includes: Yarn: 400 yards of high quality wool, all dyes and equipment costs.
Students must bring: Gloves, note taking materials, and clothing you don't mind getting dirty/dyed.
