Fill this basket with your latest knitting or spinning project and you are ready to go. Students will learn the techniques for weaving a ribbed basket. Begin your basket by creating a 4 point lashing or "Gods Eye" with 2-10" oak hoops and rattan. Ribs will then be cut and carved to create the basket's shape. The ribs will then be inserted and woven first with rattan and then with seagrass. Packing and short rows will also be taught.
Prerequisite: All Levels Welcome.
Note: This workshop will be held in a heated tent. Your hands may be in and out of water.
Email email@example.com with questions regarding class content.

Each student will also receive a written pattern for the basket. Basket materials include: 2-10" oak hoops, bleached cane, rattan and seagrass.
