Workshop Info

 Weave a tray named for it’s shape! The leaf-like pattern can be done 2 ways: flat for tray or wall decoration or add a curve in the back. Perfect for displaying something in your home, use as a hand-pass tray or cornucopia. We’ll discuss how to increase or decrease size for future projects of your own.

We will have 2 choices in colors, a gradated “space-dyed” reed in fall colors or a dramatic selection of 2 colors to showcase the herringbone weave. A Japanese “Butterfly Knot” in cane secures the tray at the top. The knot is useful in other applications such as rock-wrapping or rattan furniture wraps.

Finished cornucopia tray is approximately 13” deep, 6” high at back, 10” wide. Flat tray will be about 18” long, 10” wide. We will demo both, you will choose one to weave.

Skill level: Beginner to moderate

This class is held in a heated tent. Your hands may be in and out of water throughout the workshop.
