Learn the ancient and awesome art of wet felting during this two day workshop. Working with wool, hot water, olive oil soap and your own two hands, you will learn how to sculpt wool fibers into magical botanical forms such as leaves, flowers and mushrooms. You will learn how to mix and apply color through felting, how to form and shape 3-D felt, how to create multi layered felt and more all while creating felted botanical sculpture.
Prerequisite: All skill levels are welcome. Felting experience will allow you to create more complex versions of the botanical forms we will be making.

This workshop is held in a heated tent. Your hands will be in and out of water throughout the session.
A material fee of $35 (cash, check, or Venmo) will be collected by the instructor. It includes Corriedale & Merino wool, wool nepps, silk hankies, olive oil soap, felting kits, felting needles, sculpting wire, and sewing materials - All materials are for use during the workshop only with the exception of the felting kit which is the students to keep.
Students must bring: A bath or beach towel that will get wet for their workspace, bags to transport wet towel home.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
