Claudette learned to knit, sew, and crochet as a child. Since then she has made and designed garments and accessories.
She views sewing, knitting and crocheting as inter-related disciplines and is obsessed with translating knitting techniques to crochet and vice versa. This obsession led her to the creation of her crochet brioche technique.
Claudette has taught knitting and crochet for over 10 years including at her former yarn shop Slip Stitch Needlecraft. She currently teaches knitting to first- through-fifth graders in a Brooklyn public school after-school program and to adults at various venues throughout New York City.
