Kim began knitting at a very young age but only became compulsive as an adult. She founded YarnStory, an LYS in Honolulu, where she taught hundreds of people to knit and introduced many to the joy of hand knit socks. Leaving the role of the Yarn Lady behind, Kim is currently based in Monroe, Wisconsin where she developed a fascination with various sheep breeds and works with local shepherds and woolen mills to create single breed yarns. You can view the results at www.purveyoroffineyarns.com. You will find her wearing a much worn, much mended sweater and brightly colored hand knit socks.
