This year's Festival is October 15-16. To make it all come together, there are deadlines. If you're not coming to the Festival this year, we hope you can make it next year!
TIP: It's always better to think of the opening date as your deadline, not the last day, since space fills up before the deadline date. Don't be shy about asking us questions. Direct them to the contacts listed on the linked pages below.
Aug. 25 - Deadline to make your Pre-Sale souvenir purchases to pickup at the festival.
Aug. 31 - Deadline to enter sheep in the New York Bred Ewe Sale. Registration open now.
Sept 1 - Deadline to Enter Logo Artwork Design into Festival Art Contest. $1500 prize! $0 entry fee! We want more entries.
Sept 14 - Deadline to enter sheep into the Black and White Sheep Show.Registration opens Aug 22.
Sept 15 - Workshop Admission Pass deadline
Students ("attendees") registering by September 15, 2016 (11:59 pm EST) for workshops three hours or more will receive ONE two-day admission to the Festival at no additional charge, regardless of the number of classes in which you register. Students who are only registered in classes that are less than three hours in length OR register on or after September 16, 2016 (12:00 am EST) will receive a pass for the day of their class. They will NOT get a two day weekend pass.
Oct 1 - Deadline to enter items into the many Fiber Contests, or register for the Fleece to Shawl team contest (mail). Registration opens Aug 29. The 2016 Fiber Arts Contests featured breed is Merino, Rambouillet, or Merino/Rambouillet Cross and the Fiber Contests "Item of the year" is scarves.
Oct 4 - Deadline to enter raw fleece in the Fleece Show and Sale.Registration opens Sept 7.
Oct 5 - Deadline to enter Angora goats into the Angora Show. Registration opens Sept 15.
Oct 8 - After this date, workshop registrants will not receive e-tickets to get into the festival, and will need to go to a certain gate with a list to get in Sat. or Sun.
Oct 13-16 - Deadline to get into Workshops (though walk-ins are welcome) Registration open, classes filling up quickly.
Tickets on sale now for the Festival. If you're taking a Workshop, you might have a pass to get in. Check the terms with your class.
