Learn wet felting and wool painting techniques to create a unique stocking! Using a resist, you will learn how to measure for shrinkage before cutting out your shape. Choose base wools, colors and embellishment fibers to ‘paint’ your artwork. (Optional) Finish with needle felting to solidify your work. Note: Your stockings will be damp and need 24 hours to dry, please bring a bag to transport your project home.

Hudson Valley Altelier
Carlise Azmitia is a working artist, teacher and Hudson Valley native. She regularly travels the region teaching felting, air dry clay, watercolor and meditative art. 2026 has seen her teaching at Adams School of Art at Hammond Museum, Alice Desmond Center, Bronxville Adult School, several area libraries in the rcls system. Going on 4 years as the art educator at Orange-Ulster Boces Adult Continuing Education and teaching artist in felting at Garrison Art Center. Her workshop studio in Florida, NY allows people to come together to learn, Carlise is over the moon to once again teach at NY Sheep and Wool.
