These traditional mittens came to Newfoundland and Labrador many years ago with the English settlers and have become a New England favorite. Great for cold weather wear, these fleece lined mittens are warm and fun to knit! Learn how to knit in pieces of wool roving to create the fluffy lining with a “heart shaped” stitch on the outside. Donna’s method of knitting in the roving will give you very consistent “fleece”” stitches.
