Twisted stitches mimic 1×1 cables without all the work of rearranging your stitches with a cable needle. The handy stitches known as the Left Twist and Right Twist create a highly textured fabric with patterns that range from the simple to the complex. In this class, we’ll practice a handful of twisted stitch patterns, including twisted stitch ribbing, which can add elegance and interest to sock cuffs and sweater collars, geometric lattice patterns, and twining diamonds. We will also talk about how to design your own twisted stitch patterns, using the Right Twist and Left Twist as building blocks.
