Instructor: | Donna Kay |
When we prepare fibers to spin we forget about the oldest tools of all: our hands. Consider getting “back to the sheep” and spinning hand-prepared (literally) locks into textured, lofty yarns. It is a fitting and extremely satisfying method of preparing and spinning primitive and long wool fleeces. Spinning from the lock allows the individual character of the wool to be highlighted in the yarn.
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: Advanced Beginner
PREREQUISITE: Must be able to spin a continuous yarn and ply without assistance.
