Learn first hand the history and techniques of this timeless style of patterned mittens. Knit a child size traditional mitten using authentic stitch patterns and Norwegian wools in your choice of color on a cream background.
Topics covered include tangle-free 2 color stranded knitting, chart reading, gussets, thumbs, shaping and blocking. Participants will leave with a pattern for an adult size mitten.
Skill Level Required: Intermediate. Basic knitting skills with some experience with double-point needles.

There is a material fee of $12 which is included in the registration fee.
It includes: Yarn and pattern for pair of children's mitten, adult size pattern, handouts and folder
Students must bring: et of double-point needles size US # 4, scissors, and tapestry needle.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
