This unique Scandinavian knitting technique (tvaandsstickning in Sweden and tvebandsstickning in Norway) is created by “twining” 2 strands of the same yarn as you work producing a dense, warm, flexible double fabric. The patterns created are unlike any other in knitting. Using Norwegian wool you will knit your wrist warmers or mittens as you learn 2 color twined cast on, twined knit and purls, “hook stitches” and two color braid.
Prerequisites: Intermediate - Open to all who have basic knitting skills. Some experience with double-pointed needles is recommended.
Email treeoflife@metrocast.net with questions regarding class content.
There is a $17 material fee included in the price of registration. It includes: Norwegian yarn for pair of wrist warmers and mittens, pattern and handouts.
