Learn how to customize sweater designs for a better fit. This course walks knitters through schematics and a little necessary math to make adjustments in patterns for a flattering and tailor-made project. Included are several math worksheets for adjusting stitches or rows in a particular section of a sweater. We conclude by going through some finishing tips to maximize profit in your knitvestment!
Kate has created a fabulously detailed workbook for this course which will keep your fingers free for knitting and give you something to take home with everything you have learned. This course features Kate’s Perfect Tee Handbook which was designed as a companion to the workshop as an ideal design to practice workshop techniques. This workshop is accessible to knitters of almost any skill level; whether they are just starting off or have years of experience, there are goodies to be found.
SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED: Beginner with some experience - cast on, knitting in the round, basic increasing/decreasing
PREREQUISITE: read a pattern
HOMEWORK: Any homework or course prep is automatically delivered as soon as the course materials fee is paid. Each Materials fee listing describes the materials that are included in detail.

NOTE: Images are of the Perfect Tee, which is the example pattern used in the workshop. Knitters will receive this pattern but may also choose to use a pattern of their choice to practice any worksheet\ after instructor demonstrates it with this design.
MATERIAL FEE: A material fee of $18 must be paid by 10/4/24 using this link. It includes: 12-page bound booklet with front & back cover, black & white printed copy of Perfect Tee Handbook (17 pages), spare blank copy of 2 primary worksheets along with digital delivery of all materials after class with the option of Ravelry library delivery for the Perfect Tee Handbook.
STUDENTS MUST BRING:
Yarn and appropriately sized circular needles according to the homework and chosen swatching option, working swatch, basic knitting tools (scissors, darning needle, measuring tape), calculator, pencil and paper
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
NOTE: There is no onsite ATM on Thursday and Friday.
