In this workshop you will understand how cyanotype works and gain practical experience making cyanotypes. Cyanotypes, also known as sun prints, are an alternative photography process that creates a blue color when exposed to UV light. We will experiment making botanical photograms on paper and fabric. We will also look at the wet cyanotype process.

MATERIAL FEE: A material fee of $35 will be collected by the instructor via a payment link (info will be sent to students 3-4 weeks before workshop. h. It includes: 4 different types of fabrics: wool, silk, hemp, cotton muslin and 4 different types of printmaking papers of different weights as well as cyanotype solution needed and cotton tote.
STUDENTS MUST BRING:
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
