In this session, you'll get the scoop on how to comb fleece safely with ease and less waste. You will have the opportunity to practice proper loading techniques for combing clean fleece and learn how to get the most out of your combs effectively without “burn out”.
After introducing the techniques for combing, Heavenly will demonstrate the use of a hackle for combing and blending fibers and cover information about the different types of combs available for hand spinners and their different uses and applications. By the end of this session, you will discover tips and tricks for using a diz to remove fibers from your tools and how to effectively remove combed top by hand without a diz.
If you want to build or fine-tune your skills for making your own combed top, then this session is for you.
