Learn how to ply and see how it influences a yarn’s qualities, appearance, and uses.
Have you tried plying before but were unhappy with the results? Then this workshop is for you! Alanna explains what plying is all about and demonstrates ways to improve your plying skills, understanding of the physics behind it, and tips to improve your results. You’ll also learn simple adjustments that can fix yarns you’ve already plied but aren’t happy with.
After taking this workshop, you will:
Feel confident knowing exactly how to ply your singles no matter what type of yarn you’re spinning
Understand how your plying choices influences your yarns appearance and qualities
Be inspired to get creative with your plying choices (because once you know the rules, it’s fun to break them!)
Skill Level Required: Advanced beginner - able to spin a single yarn continuously and be somewhat familiar with plying.
