Would you like to level up your spinning? In this workshop we will explore different kinds of fiber preparation and discuss when to use them. The journey continues with trying different drafting methods including worsted, woolen and over the fold. You will start a sample book to help keep track of your single spun yarn and ply back samples. Bring your working spinning wheel or e-spinner and launch into hours of experimentation and fun. We will not be covering plying in this class.
This is not a class for spindles.
Prerequisite: Must possess a working knowledge of your wheel. Must be able to spin a continuous yarn. You need to know how to spin and be comfortable joining.
Skill Level Required: Intermediate
Homework: Make sure your wheel is in working order. No time is allotted in the class for wheel maintenance.
