Workshop Info

Reversible brioche patterns can seem daunting but with a few extensions of knitting and purling skills, you too can be creating those irresistible two-color designs. In this extended session, learn to cast on for brioche, work the basic brioche stitch and then dive into the increases and decreases that make the magic happen. Along the way, learn troubleshooting skills for the things that commonly happen with brioche. By the end of the day, you'll leave with a firm understanding of the skills needed to tackle almost any brioche project.

Prerequisite:  Student must be able to cast on, knit and purl proficiently. Experience with basic lace, chart reading, and brioche knit and purl extremely helpful.

A material fee of $10 (cash, please) will be collected by the instructor.  It includes color printed handouts and pattern.

Students must bring:  2 distinct colors of DK or worsted weight yarn and CIRCULAR needles at least 24" long to match yarn (usually US Size 7 or close, length not extremely important).

We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.

NOTE:  There is no onsite ATM on Thursday and Friday.
