Curious how to create a fast and giftable handmade present like shoelaces? Or maybe you've got a stash of embroidery thread and you'd like to make some curtain ties? This workshop explores all of the unique and creative ways you can spin, create, and use cabled yarns.
Different fibers and techniques will be available for participants to try.
Prerequisite: Participants should be familiar with spinning a continuous yarn and plying and spinning a fine yarn.

A material fee of $18 will be collected by the instructor - prepaid with PayPal or cash before class begins. It includes handouts and various fibers/threads for participants to use.
Students must bring: Yarn making tool: (working spinning wheel, electric spinner, or drop spindle), spinning wheel oil (for spinning wheels and electric spinners), Lazy Kate (tensioned is preferred), and 4-5 empty bobbins with leader.
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
