Jane has spent many years working as a production weaver. In 1991 she earned an MFA from San Francisco State University with a concentration in textiles.  She is a weaver, spinner and natural dyer with particular interest in researching natural dyeing processes and ethnic textile techniques and is a frequent contributor to Ply and Spin-Off magazines.

She currently lives in Peacham, Vermont on Brigid’s Farm where she previously raised Border Leicester X sheep, natural colored Angora goats and dairy goats. Her mail order business and on-farm studio specialize in natural dyes. She teaches regularly in her studio but travels several times a year to teach at festivals, for guilds and other venues.

Jane’s other interests include spinning and knitting, ethnic textiles, and surface design techniques on hand woven fabrics.   In addition she is an active gardener and permaculture practitioner.
