Come have fun making this very practical and appealing basket that measures approximately 9.5” L x 4.5” H x 3” W. It is just what you need to hold your tools or contain some of that clutter or scraps so much a part of being a creative fiber artist.
Students will learn how to lay out the base and weave up the sides using both dyed and natural reed. Instruction will be provided as to how to attach the leather handles and rim/lash the basket.
This class is held in a heated tent. Your hands may be in and out of water throughout the workshop.

MASKS ARE REQUIRED IN THIS WORKSHOP
There is a material fee of $30 which is included in the registration fee.
It includes: All sizes and types of reed, leather handles, seagrass, the basket pattern as well as the use of basketmaking tools.
Students must bring: N/A
We also suggest bringing a battery operated light should you need additional lighting.
